Chlorinators

With their coordinated components for tasks ranging from chlorination to analysis and warnings, our chlorinators meet all the requirements placed on modern systems. They are distinguished by their reliability and repeated dosing accuracy. Due to their simplicity of use and reliable properties, chlorine and chlorine compounds have been used successfully in water treatment for decades.

High-quality chlorinators for optimum disinfection and water quality

In the area of gas-conveying technology, we have specialised in chlorine gas dosing. However different the requirements are, our comprehensive range of well-proven units can deliver doses of chlorine gas under vacuum conditions, or liquid chlorine compounds. Our systems are designed according to DIN 19606 and EN standards and ensure optimum water quality through precisely measured disinfection. We use our know-how and experience to find the best solution - technically and scientifically. The quality of our precision equipment and our expertise are vital to our customers’ success.

Increasing water usage in public, industrial and domestic applications has established water treatment for reuse as an imperative. As the last stage in the treatment process, disinfection is particularly important. Reliable dosing systems are necessary for responsible addition of disinfectants to water. To this end, we have conducted research and development in this area to produce world-leading system solutions. For the disinfection of drinking water, swimming and wading pool water, process water, cooling water and waste water, different methods are used. These differ in their technical design and the type of chemicals used.

Application examples for efficient chlorination with Lutz-Jesco chlorinators

Small-size chlorinators with gas take-off of up to 10 kg Cl2/h

The fact that our products were designed for small dosing quantities makes them ideal for the disinfection of swimming pool water, providing maximum safety in the process.  They work with total vacuum, directly from a chlorine tank. Even if there is mechanical damage to the highly chemical-resistant plastic pipes and units, no chlorine gas can escape. The devices can be mounted on cylinders and are equipped with a residual pressure safety device for the compressed gas tank. A pressure gauge for the cylinder pressure with double safety effected by a diaphragm pressure transmitter is provided as standard.

Large-scale chlorinators with a gas take-off up to 200 kg Cl2/h

Our dosing systems ensure top quality and maximum safety for large quantities of chlorine. The dosing devices work with extremely high precision at both positive and negative pressure, and embody Lutz-Jesco's many years of experience in the handling of chlorine gas. Our products for large dosing quantities find particular application in the centralised treatment of drinking water.

ChlorStop
The purpose of the ChlorStop pressure safety shut-off valve is to interrupt the chlorine gas supply or the chlorine gas outlet directly from a chlorine tank immediately after a chlorine alarm or the detection of excess pressure (e.g. by the PLUS safety blow-off valve). ChlorStop is mounted directly on the tank valve. An electromagnet closes the valve within a very short time. This ensures a high level of safety and prevents further chlorine gas leaks. Features & advantages Interruption of the chlorine gas supply directly from a chlorine tank valve Shortest closing time due to electromagnets Direct connection e.g. possible for a chlorine vacuum regulator Suitable for gaseous chlorine Optional control unit for simultaneous closing of up to 12 valves Simple commissioning Simple and space-saving installation Low maintenance effort for chlorine gas in accordance with DIN EN 15363 and 937
Vacuum regulator C 2214
The C 2214 is designed for individual operation. For use on gas drums, a heated droplet separator is optionally available on the pressure side in the inlet valve of the C 2214. A safety blow-off valve is integrated and prevents an impermissible increase in pressure in the downstream vacuum line system. The quantity of gas dosed can be optimally adjusted on the C 2214 using a dosing valve and flow meter. Features & advantages Throughput capacity with chlorine gas: up to 4 kg/h Residual pressure protection: Prevents the chlorine cylinder from being completely evacuated to prevent corrosion caused by moisture in the air Filter: To protect the valve from dirt particles from the chlorine cylinder or the connection area Cylinder pressure gauge: For displaying the pressure in the chlorine tank Integrated safety blow-off valve Flow meter with manual setting Gas filter Compact design Available with all standard gas connections
Chlorinator C 2701
The C 2701 chlorinators follow a clear modular system. Whether as a compact device with all functions in a free-standing cabinet or as functional modules for customised system design - you always have a reliable vacuum system at your disposal. The dosing quantity is set manually on devices in the basic version and displayed on the highly resistant glass flow meter. Appliances with an automatic control valve enable remote adjustment of the dosing quantity using standard signals. The control valve has a nozzle system that has been specially developed for use with chlorine gas - highly chemically resistant and insensitive to dirt. Features & advantages up to 200 kg/h Flow meter with manual adjustment Highly chemically resistant materials Automatic control valve (optional) Signal converter (optional) back pressure regulator vacuum gauge
Chlorinator C 2526
The C 2526 chlorinators are based on a clear modular system. Whether as a compact device with all functions in a free-standing cabinet or as functional modules for customised system design - you always have a reliable vacuum system at your disposal. The dosing quantity is set manually on devices in the basic version and displayed on the highly resistant glass variable area flow meter. Devices with an automatic control valve allow the dosing quantity to be adjusted remotely using standard signals, and the control valve has a nozzle system that has been specially developed for use with chlorine gas - highly chemically resistant and insensitive to dirt. Features & benefits up to 25 kg/h Flow meter with manual adjustment Highly chemically resistant materials Automatic control valve (optional) Signal converter (optional) back pressure regulator vacuum gauge

Chlorine vaporiser C 6100
Efficient gas generation The zC 6100 vaporiser essentially consists of a tube coil with a vertical inlet and outlet. The tube coil is surrounded by a steel tank filled with water. Immersion heaters underneath the pipe coil, near the base of the tank, ensure that the water is heated evenly by free convection. There is no need for circulation pumps or mixers to circulate the water. The liquid chlorine enters the evaporator from above and flows in countercurrent to the warm water circulating upwards through the pipe coil towards the bottom of the tank. On its way down, it absorbs the heat from the water and evaporates. The heat of the water is used effectively and efficiently to vaporise the liquid chlorine by moving the two liquids past each other.
