Suction pressure regulator
Constant suction pressure and leak protection
The suction pressure regulator is a spring-loaded diaphragm valve that is opened by the effect of the pump suction pressure. This ensures that medium is not able to flow if the pump is not running or is unable to generate a vacuum due to a line fracture.
- Protects the dosing pump against too high a supply pressure from a high container or feed from pressure lines
- Application as a container leak protection following a diaphragm failure tear or line breakage; prevents siphoning
- Prevents the influence of fluctuating positive and negative suction heads on dosing accuracy
- Protects the dosing pump against pressure peaks through accelerations with long suction lines
