Our employees are the most important asset of our company

Wertheim, 22 October 2024 – The importance of reliable employees in times of multiple crises was demonstrated at Lutz Holding's Oktoberfest in Wertheim. To mark the 70th anniversary of the globally active family business, employees from 16 sales and production sites around the world came together to look back over the past few years, celebrate what has been achieved and raise a glass to the future.

Heinz-Lutz, Managing Director of the second-generation fluid specialist, personally welcomed the guests on 11 October in an Oktoberfest tent on the company premises in Wertheim and emphasised right at the beginning the importance of joint exchange across national borders. "Our employees are the heart of our company," said Lutz. "The Oktoberfest, which is now taking place for the third time and slowly becoming a tradition, is our way of thanking our employees for their tireless commitment and passion. Our successes would not be possible without them. This celebration is an expression of our appreciation and offers the opportunity to celebrate together away from the daily work routine and to honour our successes." In true Munich Oktoberfest style, Lutz tapped the keg and got the festivities rolling. In addition to cold beer, the guests enjoyed delicious food such as Viennese fried chicken with remoulade and potato salad. The band Grumis, who rock the dancefloors in party tents and at open air events all over Germany, provided a proper party atmosphere.

A symbol of strength and loyalty: Managing Director Heinz Lutz plants a Ginkgo tree together with his family

Another highlight of the Oktoberfest in Wertheim was the planting of a Ginkgo tree, which the employees gave to the Lutz family as a symbol of the strength of the company and its loyalty to its employees. "The Ginkgo is considered one of the most robust and oldest tree species in the world, with specimens that live to be over 1000 years old," said Claudia Gross, Head of Marketing & Communications, who invited the Lutz family to the planting. "We hope that the tree will become a symbol for all employees of their long-standing loyalty to the company." With shovels in hand, Heinz Lutz, his wife Claudia Lutz, his son Karl-Heinz Lutz and his daughter Susanne Maurer stepped outside to ceremoniously plant the young tree in the ground on the company premises. "Future generations of employees will also be able to watch the tree grow here."

The Lutz family and staff are optimistic about the future

The Oktoberfest made it clear that Lutz Holding GmbH is optimistic about the future despite all the turbulence of recent years – from the COVID-19 pandemic and rising energy costs to the shortage of skilled labour. "Over the last few decades, we have always adapted to new challenges while continuing to offer our employees stable and future-proof prospects," emphasises Lutz. "Through targeted investment in training, health programmes and family-friendly working models, we are securing the future of our company and our employees." In future, the family-owned company would like to further expand its global network in order to offer people in even more countries attractive development opportunities. "Our employees are the most important asset of our company."
